REP's Agnes of God: A Murder Mystery in a Convent

Image
Agnes of God , a gripping and thought-provoking drama is back on stage, as a golden year celebration of Repertory Philippines , popularly known as REP.  Agnes of God is written by notable playright John Pielmeier, was a long running hit on Broadway which opened in 1982, and adapted into film in 1985. The play consisted of three characters that really made an impact, three women with their own dark pasts. Their stories were brought together into the mysterious case of the young nun Agnes who is accused of conceiving and killing her own baby inside the convent.  The play is mind-boggling as you would really think about Agnes who is young, innocent and fragile. She is not like an ordinary child as most children being exposed to the outside world. You wouldn't blink an eye as you watch the play, because every second would make you think of who is telling the truth or whose judgment is right. Agnes of God was first staged by REP in 1983 which was played by veteran

The Best Way to Celebrate National Hair Free Day

Image
As most of us women know, waxing is another method of removing body hair and some doesn't find it interesting because of some things that we hear about it.  For a lot of women, waxing is a grooming routine, that they through getting an appointment and undergo the whole painful procedure and turn up smooth and hair-free, without batting an eyelid. Honestly, waxing is not as intense as some might think. It's all a matter of picking the right waxing salon. For starters, a reputable salon should be able to take you through the process without causing anxiety, regardless if you’ve been doing this for years or you’re new to the whole thing. They should be able to demonstrate why there’s no need to feel self-conscious and assure you that you’re in the hands of experts. The process is swift, and the aestheticians are trained to work in small, manageable sections and press on the skin as the wax is removed to help ease discomfort. After that, you’re ready to go.  It’s all

Love Your Hair with Novuhair

Love month is not just having a relationship, going on a date, stressing ourselves what to give to our partner or what to receive. It is also a reminder of our love around us, our family, friends, everything around us, and that includes loving yourself.  I always believe that happiness and love should start from ourselves. Take time to take care of your own appearance and since our hair is on top of our body, it is pertinent that we start with it. Here are a few tips in maintaining a healthy hair. ·        Observe good hygiene all the time – regularly wash your hair to remove dirt and grimes ·        Be extra careful whenever combing your wet hair – your hair is vulnerable to breakage during this period. ·        Use towel to dry off your hair after shower – Using hair dryer can cause damage to your hair; if you must use the heat then do so sparingly. ·        Eat the proper nutrition - Our hair is also dependent on what we eat. Iron-rich food and protein strength

Crown Asia: 10 Best Reasons to Invest

Image
One of the most important necessities is shelter, and nowadays investing in a house is a need. My parents used to sell houses when they were in their 40s and it was really a great advantage for us learning about it. I've come to realize that investing in real estate saves money and it's like paying in a rented house or apartment. The only difference is that while paying for mortgage, you know that in a period of time it will be yours. Unlike renting, the property will not be yours. What's more, in real estate the value appreciates.  Of course, I also look into a place where I can relax and smell clean air around me. I want my home near schools, church, hospital, mall, away from traffic and not polluted. So, when I chanced upon a scheduled tour to Veneza Mansions in Sta. Rosa, I immediately asked to join. The community is just 30 minutes away from both Tagaytay and Alabang. This place is so amazing! An Italian-inspired community, so elegant! Let me tell you more about i

During my younger years, baking is not much of a fad. I know how to cook, but I have always wanted to learn how to bake since childhood. I remember  going to my aunt's house and watched my cousins how to bake. In college, I go to my friend's place to watch her bake chocolate cake and I am so excited to see the result and taste it! My mom cooks savory dishes and sad to say she's not a fan of baking. It has been my dream that someday I will learn and bake my own cakes and pastries. Whenever I want to learn something, I make it a point to know how to do it. I bought recipe books and when digital media was born, I watched a lot of baking tutorials. I am so thankful that I know now how to bake cakes and cookies! My dream of just learning how to bake became bigger. Now, I sell cakes and cookies and I want to have my own bakeshop. Honestly, it wasn't enough just to read, watch and experiment. I searched online for baking classes that is affordable and worth paying. Th
