I remember during my teenage years going to movie shootings and being paid as an extra actress. Aside from earning, I also had so much fun seeing and meeting actors and actresses. Acting and interacting contributed a huge factor in building my confidence. Now, hearing about REP summer workshop excites me! This is a good way to shape faith in yourself. It's been every girl's dream to become a ballet dancer wearing those adorable tutus and ballet shoes. I remember when I was a little girl looking at myself in the mirror and wondering what it would be like to dance ballet. It was also then when the musical jewelry box was a hit because of that ballet girl dancing on top. As I entered the PETA building, I can't help the excitement running inside me because it's been my childhood dream to become an actress. Well, movie acting is different from stage acting. So, here I am ready to take the tour. At the lobby The Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) is turning 50 years in 2017. PETA is an institution which reflects Philippine Society. What's good about them is that they use Filipino language in all their plays. PETA is an educational institution giving workshops and they're known in the Philippines as repertory. They also tour their plays and join international conference every 4 years. We had our first glance of the theater and for me it looks really cool, seeing actors stretching & practicing.  Next, we were all guided to the workshop room at the 3rd level. For me, art is challenging and interesting. All I know, is that since childhood I'm already in love with art. No matter what kind of art it is, if it interests me, I'll try to learn about that certain kind of art. Yes, I've watched The Ghost movie! Not only about the love story, but I fell in love with pottery. It's a kind of art that really needs your focus, but at the same time it leaves you with satisfaction. It takes your stress away! No matter how it looks like, if it's yours, it will make you proud.  What immediately comes to mind when the word pottery is mentioned? Interestingly, many would say "like in The Ghost!," alluding to that iconic romantic movie scene. But, to what is “pottery” commonly associated with? A vessel for food to many Artifact jars,.decorative plates, or functional earthenware to others. In some schools, they had early Halloween before the start of a short sem break... As a mom of 5, I used an alternative cheap prosthetic which I learned from the company I'm working with. So, as requested by my daughter, i made something that she really wants... To be safe, I tried it first on my hand... Don't worry guys, it's an edible blood I made,..  maple syrup & food coloring.. the scab is made of glue & starch. I tried walking along the street & tested if  this will attract the attention of people... It did!! So, for the main project, here's my daughter Rain....   The Smiling Zombie.... Trick or Treat.... When I was young, tongue depressors are used to see the tonsils.... grabbed from Google Then one day, my daughter needed to make a project in Filipino that they can use as a reviewer. So, I bought colored tongue depressors & a pack of foamy like characters. Just stick a foamy at the top, then glue printed questions in front & the answers at the back. A nice bonding with kids, which I'm sure will get their attention. It's fun!! <3
