360° Me! Beauty, Health and Wellness Conference by MPlify Philippines

Last October 12, 2018, Mr. Miguel De La Rosa, Managing Director, MPlify Philippines, organized its first Beauty, Health and Wellness Conference dubbed 360° Me! Beauty, Health and Wellness Conference at the ballroom of The City Club, Alphaland Makati Place. 

In celebration of his birthday month, his desire is to educate attendees about industry best practices, updates, and trends that will hopefully help them become better business owners and/or employees as they work within their organizations. It will also provide a venue for networking and possible collaborations among industry practitioners.

A great number of people are now into beauty, health and wellness. It's good to know that as a buff myself, many people are conscious about it. Some just want to be beautiful and healthy, and some have their own businesses already while others are planning to put up their own business. It's a good practice that even though you already have your own function, it's a good practice to attend conferences to learn from other experts how they manage and get new tips.

I have attended conferences, however this is the first time I attended a forum like this. There's so much to learn from the experts. One of the speakers that I admire is the millennial, Mr. Joseph Feliciano, COO of Bioessence. At a young age, he manages their family business well. He mentioned that it's not just about your passion and earning, business is also a good relationship with your employees. In their company, they start and end the day with prayers. Employees are taught financial literacy for them to know how to manage what they're earning, like one of their employees who is now their business partner at the Legaspi branch. 

Another speaker that I admire is a mother like me, who gets her inspiration from her family. Ms.Jean Uvero, President & CEO of Grupo Uvero Inc. who owns Nail It! and Kitchen Nails. She started by borrowing from her husband half of the housing loan during the construction of their house. Then she became a franchisee of a famous waxing brand. It was a risk she took, but because she love the availing of the waxing service Ms. Uvero went to push with the business. Then came the birth of Nail It! at the same building to cater the other pampering needs of her waxing business. All these that she love doing is for the love of her family.

All speakers have their own inspiring success stories and so many learnings that I will forever remember. Aside from the talks, I got to try the free threading by Browlab that I am happy with the result. Also brought home products from all the sponsors that me and my girls enjoyed using. The whole day conference is complete with morning and afternoon snacks and lunch buffet. By next year, there will be a part 2 of this conference and I am looking forward to hear more. The event is for the benefit of Children's Hour.
